Austin Free-Net provides free computer access and education to the Austin community. We have a large open-access lab in our headquarters where all community members are welcome. We also provide training in sites around the city and free computers to nonprofits and government agencies.

Free Computer and Internet Access at Austin Free-Net:
Our computer lab has 17 computers with broadband access to the Internet, the Windows 7 operating system and Microsoft Office.  Clients have use of a free scanner, printer and FAX machine. Exemptions to the 3-hour time limit are given to those who are looking for employment and working on education-related tasks.

Our trainers help clients create resumes, look for jobs and find help online, create and use email accounts, connect with friends and family using facebook – and much more! There is no registration, appointment or ID required.

Thanks to City of Austin Grant for Technology Opportunities, we created a classroom focusing on the real-life needs of Austin’s homeless population. Our professional trainer uses an individualized, student-centered approach allowing clients to choose the skills they want to learn in order to achieve the goals they set for themselves. 

Tuesday and Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
