Volunteer

Austin Free-Net is always looking for capable, enthusiastic volunteers!

Volunteers are an integral part of the services we provide to clients at Austin Free-Net. We utilize the help of  volunteers to train and coach our clients in technology use and for administrative support.

What skills do I need? Can you send an e-mail? Do you like lending a hand? Then you’re qualified to volunteer! Volunteers are our lifeblood and there are many ways that you can help.

Volunteers primarily assist us in the roles of:

Computer Lab Trainer/Monitor –  Volunteer trainers and lab monitors help clients who come into our labs. In this role, you may help someone set up an email or Facebook account, search for a job online, write a resume, find a bus route, and much more. We provide resources and training to prepare our volunteers to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients. Ready to donate your time? Fill out this form to get in touch with us.

Administrative Support – We rely on volunteers to help us with general office duties and promotional events on occasion. For more information about volunteering your administrative support, please call (512) 236-8225.
