Volunteers are an integral part of the services we provide to clients at Austin Free-Net. The organization utilizes the help of approximately 250 annual volunteers who serve in digital education, administration and IT Support.
What skills do I need? Can you send an e-mail? Do you like lending a hand? Then you’re qualified to volunteer! Volunteers are our lifeblood, and there are many ways that you can help.
Please take a look at the positions listed below:
Computer Lab Trainer/Monitor: Volunteers help clients who come into the labs with their life needs and want to use a computer. You may help someone set up an email or Facebook account, search for a job online or write a resume. (Currently all of our volunteer slots at our computer labs are full for the Summer. Please check with us again at the end of August 2017 for additional opportunities.)
Administrative Support – We rely on volunteers to help us with general office duties and occasionally promotional events.
For more information about any of our volunteer positions, please e-mail our Volunteer Manager or call (512) 236-8225, ext. 120.
