Volunteers are an integral part of the services we provide to clients at Austin Free-Net. The organization utilizes the help of approximately 250 annual volunteers who serve in digital education, administration and IT Support.
What skills do I need? Can you send an e-mail? Do you like lending a hand? Then you’re qualified to volunteer! Volunteers are our lifeblood, and there are many ways that you can help.
Please take a look at the positions listed below and if you are interested in volunteering with us fill out our volunteer application:
Computer Lab Trainer/Monitor: Volunteers help clients who come into the labs with their life needs and want to use a computer. You may help someone set up an email or Facebook account, search for a job online or write a resume.
Administrative Support – We rely on volunteers to help us with general office duties and occasionally promotional events.
Outreach Event Volunteer – Help inform the community about free computer training and Internet access in the community. This past year, with the support of volunteers like you, we reached 900 households with our door-to-door outreach campaign. More information coming soon about our Fall campaign.
