Free Computer Labs and Instruction
Austin Free-Net’s computer labs and classes allow individuals to define their unique needs and receive training that is relevant to their motivations, interests, and goals. We offer one-on-one assistance, workshops, and classes in our locations across Austin. Check out our training calendar below or call 512-236-8225 for more information!
For all: Join us at our main training site, the DeWitty Center in Central East Austin. Our computer lab is open and ready to provide tailored assistance and instruction from Monday-Friday, 9 AM – 4 PM. Anyone can join our Digital Literacy Class on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at the DeWitty Center.
For seniors: Seniors are welcome at any of our locations and programs! Our Tuesday and Thursday afternoon programs at the Conley-Guerrero Senior Center work specifically with seniors to address their needs and goals, whether work or leisure-related. We also serve seniors at South Austin Neighborhood Center, Alamo Recreation Center, and Lamar Senior Activity Center.
For people experiencing homelessness: We offer special programming to address the needs of people experiencing homelessness at the Austin Resource Center for the Homeless (ARCH) and Trinity Center in downtown Austin. Our computer lab at ARCH is open 37 hours a week with staff ready to help.
For Spanish speakers: Our Digital Literacy Class at the DeWitty Center on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons is offered in Spanish. We also offer instruction in Spanish at the St. John Branch of Austin Public Library on Wednesday evenings and the Southeast Branch of Austin Public Library during the daytime every other Wednesday.
This program is funded and supported in part by the City of Austin through the Digital Inclusion Initiative.
