Digital Literacy Program

Free Computer Labs and Instruction

Austin Free-Net’s computer labs and classes allow individuals to define their unique needs and receive training that is relevant to their motivations, interests, and goals. We offer one-on-one assistance, workshops, and classes in our locations across Austin. Check out our training calendar below or call 512-236-8225 for more information!

For all: Join us at our main training site, the DeWitty Center in Central East Austin. Our computer lab is open and ready to provide tailored assistance and instruction from Monday-Friday, 9 AM – 4 PM.  Anyone can join our Virtual Digital Literacy Classroom on Tuesday (Bilingual – Spanish) and Friday afternoons. Please see calendar below for scheduled dates and login information.Be sure to check this calendar for any changes of schedule from week to week.

For seniors: Prior to pandemic we proudly served our seniors at Conley-Guerrero Senior Center, South Austin Neighborhood Center, Lamar Senior Activity Center, Alamo, Blackland, St John’s, and the Asian American Resource Center. We hope to see a return to service at these wonderful sites in the Fall, but in the meantime, we are offering a Virtual Basic Tablet Skills class on Thursday morning, and seniors are welcome to join us at either of our Basic Digital Skills class times on Tuesday.Friday as well.

For people experiencing homelessness: We are sorry to report that services at the Austin Resource Center for the Homeless (ARCH) and Trinity Center are still suspended, but we are happy to address the needs of anyone experiencing homelessness at the DeWitty training and Resource Center currently. Stay tuned for updates.

For Spanish speakers: Our Digital Literacy Class at the DeWitty Center on Tuesday afternoons is offered in Spanish. Stay tuned for additional bilingual offerings.
