The Purpose of Tech for All Fest
The 5 Parts of Digital Inclusion
Technology is part of everyday life, but not everyone has equal access to the technology and support they need. The work to help close these gaps is called digital inclusion.
Austin Free-Net has been doing this work in Austin since 1995, helping adults build technology skills through free classes, one-on-one help, public computer labs, and access to refurbished computers.
Tech for All Fest brings our community together during National Digital Inclusion Week to raise awareness about these barriers and help address them through free technology classes, refurbished computers, and connections to local organizations and resources.
Based on the National Digital Inclusion Alliance’s (NDIA) definition of digital inclusion, adapted into plain language.
Affordable Internet
Internet service people can afford and rely on.
Devices
Computers and other devices that meet people’s needs.
Technology Education
Education and training to build skills and confidence using technology.
Technology Support
Help when technology is confusing or something goes wrong.

Free Refurbished Laptops
You must sign up in person for an available laptop orientation spot starting at 12:00 PM at the Austin Free-Net table.
Limited spots available. First come, first served.
Be 18 or older
Be an Austin resident and bring a photo ID showing your Austin address
Receive only 1 laptop per household
Not have received a laptop from Austin Free-Net within the past year
Attend the full 1-hour laptop orientation
Requirements
Sign up in person at the Austin Free-Net table starting at 12:00 PM.
Choose an available orientation time while spots are available.
Attend the full 1-hour orientation.
Receive your laptop after completing the orientation.
